Cotswolds – 5 Year Old 2018 The Heart Cut #6 (50cl)

This is a five-year-old Cotswolds whisky in a 50cl bottle, released by independent bottler The Heart Cut as its sixth bottling. It was distilled on 17 July 2018 and bottled on 23 October 2023, with 362 bottles produced. It was matured entirely in new American oak, a cask type more often used for bourbon and rarely the sole choice for Cotswolds whisky. The whisky is non-chill filtered and has no caramel colouring. The cask brings a tropical character above spice, vanilla and coconut. Other notes include panna cotta, crème brûlée, toasted banana bread, crisp red apples and candied pecans, with a hint of lemon zest.
