Cotswolds Bourbon Cask English Single Malt (59.1%)

Cotswolds Bourbon Cask is an English single malt bottled at a cask strength of 59.1%. It is the first whisky from the Cotswolds Distillery to be matured entirely in bourbon casks. The casks are first-fill American white oak, brought over from Kentucky without being steamed, so the staves arrive still damp and soaked with bourbon. The distillery, which has been operating since 2014, makes a soft, full-bodied and fruity spirit, and this bottling is meant to show that character. Vanilla, caramelised figs and honey are the notes most often described.
