Cotswolds Bourbon Cask Small Batch Release Single Malt (70cl, 59.1%)

Cotswolds Bourbon Cask is an English single malt, bottled at 59.1% from first-fill American oak bourbon casks. It is a small batch release, bottled without chill-filtration or added colour. The Cotswolds Distillery was founded in 2014 by Daniel Szor. It makes its whisky at Stourton, using barley from the surrounding area that is malted at Warminster Maltings and distilled in copper pot stills made by Forsyths. The nose is sweet malt and honey with ripe apples, pears and a little vanilla. On the palate come creamy caramel, vanilla, cinnamon and fresh lime, with malty depth and runny honey. The finish stays honeyed and malty.
