Cotswolds Distillery – Founder's Choice Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 60.5%)

Cotswolds Distillery Founder's Choice is a single malt matured in American oak red wine casks that were shaved, toasted and re-charred, a process devised by the late Dr Jim Swan. The whisky is deeply coloured. It is bottled at cask strength, 60.5% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. The distillery was founded in 2013 in Stourton, in the heart of the Cotswolds, and began with gin while its whisky was ageing. The flavours are described as toffee, toasty oak, malt and red fruit.
