Highgrove Evergreen is a single malt from the Cotswolds Distillery in England, made in collaboration with Highgrove. The barley is Plumage Archer, a historic variety grown on the Highgrove Estate. The whisky is matured in bourbon casks and in ex-red wine casks that were STR treated, then bottled at 46%, non-chill-filtered and without added colouring.
Honeyed malt and ripe orchard fruit lead the nose, with vanilla and a fine spiciness. On the palate come red berries and toasted oak, then juicy peach, creamy caramel and vanilla. The finish is rich yet mild, with fine orange peel and a spicy depth.
