Cotswolds – Peated Cask Single Malt (70cl, 60.2%)

This is a cask strength single malt from the Cotswolds, bottled at 60.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It belongs to the Cask Expressions Collection. The whisky spent its full maturation in ex-peated quarter casks. Gentle peat smoke on the palate sits alongside vanilla from the oak and the fruitiness of the spirit. The nose is vanilla with light charring, a touch of dried fruits and spice. On the palate, creamy peat smoke is layered with light fruits and tannin-rich wood. The finish is long, with smoking embers, floral honey and woody sugars.
