Cotswolds – Reserve Single Malt (50%)

Cotswolds Reserve is a single malt made in small batches from 100% locally grown, floor-malted Cotswolds barley. It is bottled at 50% ABV, in its natural colour and non-chill-filtered. It is matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks and STR ex-red wine casks of American oak, filled at 63.5% ABV and blended at a ratio of 80 to 20. The bourbon casks bring vanilla, honey, butterscotch and a touch of coconut, and the red wine casks add richness, fruit and sweetness. The nose is light caramel, apple and vanilla with a touch of chocolate. The palate has toasted grain and sweet malt, and the finish is lingering, with warm wood tannin.
