Cotswolds – Rum Cask Matured Single Malt 2022 (55.6%)

This is a single malt from the Cotswolds Distillery in England, matured in casks that previously held rum and red wine. It is batch 01/2022, with 3000 bottles released at 55.6%, and it is non-chill-filtered with no added colour. It belongs to the annual Hearts & Crafts series, a celebration of the Arts & Crafts movement that flourished in the Cotswolds and of the traditional craft behind the distillery. The nose is baked apples with vanilla ice cream and a hint of nutmeg. The palate brings brown sugar and ripe pears with spice. It finishes with tropical fruit and a touch of orange peel.
