Cotswolds Sherry Cask English Single Malt Whisky (70cl, 57.4%)

This is an English single malt from the Cotswolds Distillery, bottled at a cask strength of 57.4% in a 70cl bottle. It is amber in colour, with no added colouring and no chill filtration. The fruity new-make spirit was matured in hogsheads and butts of American and Spanish oak, some previously holding dry Oloroso sherry and some sweet Pedro Ximenez. The casks were then married together. Only 9,900 bottles were filled. The nose is brown sugar and cherry cake with a touch of roasted coffee beans. The palate is full and intense, with dark stone fruit, chocolate and roasted almonds. The finish is peppery oak spice with dried fruit.
