Cotswolds Small Batch French Connections (70cl, 60.8%)

This is a small batch single malt from the Cotswolds Distillery in England, bottled at its natural strength of 60.8% in a 70cl bottle. The edition is limited to 480 bottles and the whisky is unpeated. It is a vatting of four casks in equal parts: a second-fill bourbon cask, a new oak cask, an oloroso sherry cask and a Pedro Ximenez sherry cask. The distillery was founded in 2014 by Daniel Szor. Each cask is described as adding its own character: fresh and herbal from the bourbon, chocolatey and spicy from the new oak, rich and oxidative from the oloroso, and soft and sweet from the Pedro Ximenez.
