This is a 15 year old Lowland single malt from Daftmill, the family-run farm distillery in Fife. It was distilled in the summer of 2009 from Optic barley grown in the family's South fields, and bottled in December 2024 at 56.3%. Twenty casks went into the bottling: nineteen first-fill bourbon barrels and one ex-Pedro Ximenez sherry cask. The whisky matured in Warehouse 2. The nose has orchard fruits, honey and soft floral notes. The palate brings ripe apples, vanilla and gentle spice, with a touch of sherry sweetness from the PX cask. The finish is long and warming.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
