Daftmill – 15 Years Old 2009/2024 (70cl)

Daftmill 15 Years Old is a Lowland single malt, distilled in the summer of 2009 and bottled in December 2024. The barley is Optic, grown on the southern fields of the Daftmill farm. It spent fifteen years maturing in nineteen first-fill bourbon barrels and one Pedro Ximénez sherry cask, a combination the distillery had not used before. The nose is sweet and rich, with tropical notes. On the palate come barley sugar and malt, then a clear dark fruit note towards the finish that points to a light sherry influence. The finish is deep, complex and long.
