Daftmill 2008 Winter Release is a Lowland single malt from the Fife distillery, bottled by Berry Bros & Rudd at 46% in a 70cl bottle. Only 6,000 bottles were released.
It was matured in first-fill bourbon casks, which show in its notes of vanilla and spiced cream. The whisky was distilled in the depths of winter, yet it has a distinctly summery style, and a little time in the glass brings more complexity and character.
