Daftmill 2010 Summer Batch Release - Bottled 2021 (46%)

Daftmill 2010 Summer Batch Release is a Lowland single malt from the Cuthbert family's farm distillery in Fife, bottled in 2021 at 46% ABV. The spirit was distilled and filled in July 2010, and summer 2010 was the last time the distillery used Optic barley grown in the farm's South Fields. It matured for about 11 years in 25 first-fill bourbon barrels that were previously used by Clermont Springs Distillery in Kentucky, resting on the ground floor of the dunnage warehouse. The outturn was 6,250 bottles. Orchard fruit, creamy vanilla, honeyed malt, citrus and gentle oak spice are the notes usually described.
