Daftmill – 2011 Summer Batch Release (70cl)

A single malt from Daftmill, distilled in 2011 and released as the Summer Batch. It comes in a 70cl bottle. The barley was a variety called Publican, grown in the distillery's 43-acre field and harvested on 28th and 29th August 2009. It was dried and stored on the farm, then malted in Alloa in the summer of 2010. The whisky matured in twenty-seven first-fill barrels that had previously held bourbon from the Clermont Springs distillery in Kentucky. They were filled in June, July and August 2011 and rested on the upper level of the dunnage warehouse until bottling in September 2023.
