Daftmill – Summer 2008 Single Cask #68

A single cask Lowland malt from Daftmill, a farm distillery run by the Cuthbert family that distils only in the farm's quiet periods, in mid-summer and winter. The barley, a variety called Optic, was grown on the farm, harvested in late August 2006 and malted in Alloa in the summer of 2007. The spirit was filled into a first fill ex-Bourbon barrel on 9 December 2008 and matured in warehouse 1 until bottling in August 2019. This is a Whisky Bars of Scotland exclusive, drawn from 160 bottles.
