Daftmill – Summer Batch 2013 (46%)

A single malt from Daftmill in Fife, matured for thirteen years in fourteen first-fill ex-bourbon barrels on the upper dunnage level and bottled in June 2026 at 46%. It is natural colour and non-chill filtered. The barley was Concerto, grown on the estate's own South fields, harvested in September 2011 and malted the following spring in Alloa. The batch numbers 3,775 bottles, each carrying the printed signature of the Cuthbert brothers. The nose gives barley sugar, buttery shortbread and tinned peach, with custard and vanilla coming in later. The palate is soft, with oatiness, ripe peach, cinnamon and clove, and the finish is long and gently warm with honeyed apricot.
