Daftmill – Summer Batch Release 2006 UK Edition

Daftmill Summer Batch Release 2006 is a Lowland single malt from a farm distillery run by the Cuthbert family. It runs only in the farm's quieter periods, in midsummer and winter, and Francis Cuthbert grows the malting barley himself. This batch uses Chariot barley harvested from the Dam Park and Curling Pond fields on 31st August 2004. It was distilled and filled in the summer of 2006 into ex-bourbon barrels from Heaven Hill in Kentucky. They rested for nearly twelve years in the bottom storey of Warehouse No 1. The UK edition is 1,665 bottles.
