A Lowland single malt from Daftmill, released as its Summer Batch. It was distilled in 2011 and bottled in 2023 after 12 years in first fill bourbon casks, at 46% in a 70cl bottle.
The release is limited to 6550 bottles.
The nose is intensely fruity, with pear to the fore, then peach, apricot, mango and hints of hay and breakfast cereal. The palate has an oily mouthfeel and elegant, balanced flavours of vanilla, sweet fruit, lime and a touch of pepper. The finish is medium in length, drier, with more wood towards the end.
