Daimyo-No Shinobu Japanese Blended Whisky (70cl, 40%)

Daimyo-No Shinobu is a Japanese blended whisky in a 70cl bottle, bottled at 40% ABV. Master blender Ken Usami created it as a symbol of the samurai spirit, and the name refers to the powerful samurai who ruled Japan from the 12th to the 19th century. It is a blend of grain and malt whiskies of different ages, aged in several types of oak barrel. It won a Gold at the International Spirits Challenge in 2023. The nose offers toasted grain, ripe orchard fruit, vanilla and subtle nutty notes. The palate has sweetness and oak in balance, with caramel and a touch of spice. The finish is long and warming, with a gentle hint of dried fruit.
