Dalmore – 12 Year Old (70cl, 40%)

This is a 12 year old single malt from the Dalmore distillery, launched in late 2008 as a replacement for the earlier 12 year old expression. It is bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle and is toasty and coffee-rich, with spice and a thick mouthfeel. The nose offers roasting coffee beans, oily espresso nuttiness, malt, cereal and buttery pastry, alongside rich orange. On the palate come Seville marmalade, triple sec, winter spices and fruitcake, with zesty cocoa and milk chocolate. The finish is medium, with oranges.
