Dalmore – 12 Years

This is a 12-year-old Highland single malt from Dalmore, the distillery whose stag's head emblem appears on every bottle. It matured in a half-and-half mix of American bourbon casks and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks. It has an amber colour. The nose brings roasting coffee beans, nutty oil, malt, grain and pastry butter with rich oranges. The palate has Seville marmalade and triple sec, winter spices and fruit cake, with spicy cocoa and milk chocolate. The finish is balanced, with orange.
