Dalmore – 15 Years (70cl, 40%)

This is a 15-year-old Highland single malt from Dalmore, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is finished in three kinds of sherry cask, whose wood was seasoned for around 30 years with Apostoles, Matusalem and Amoroso sherry from Gonzalez Byass. Dalmore was founded in 1839 by Alexander Matheson, on the shore of the Cromarty Firth. The nose shows orange marmalade, cinnamon, nutmeg and sherry. On the palate come mandarin, vanilla, ginger, cinnamon and grated apple. The finish is fairly long, complex and round.
