Dalmore 18 Year Old Matusalem Sherry Cask Finish (70cl, 43%)

Dalmore 18 Year Old is a Highland single malt finished in sherry casks, bottled at 43% in a 70cl bottle. It spent its first 14 years in ex-bourbon casks of American white oak, then a further four years in Matusalem oloroso sherry casks from González Byass. For the last twelve months the sherry casks were stored upright. The nose combines vanilla and dark chocolate with orange marmalade and sweet liquorice. On the palate, chocolate-covered raisins and citrus meet strong coffee, with nutmeg and other spices. The balanced finish leaves stewed fruit and toffee, with floral notes of violet and jasmine.
