First-fill Oloroso sherry hogshead
This is a 21-year-old Dalmore, distilled on 22 October 2003 and matured for its whole life in a first-fill Oloroso sherry hogshead. Signatory Vintage bottled it on 11 November 2024 for the Symington's Choice series within its Cask Strength Collection, at a natural cask strength of 52.9%. Cask 14736 gave 199 bottles, each a 70cl bottle in a metal tin. The whisky is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour. The nose brings orange marmalade and dark cherries with malt, dark chocolate and roasted nuts. The palate is full and dense with sherry, dried figs, hazelnuts and cocoa. The finish is long and slowly dries, with dark fruit, tobacco leaf and a light cocoa bitterness.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
