Dalmore King Alexander III is a Highland single malt, bottled at 40% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It is made from whisky matured in six types of cask: ex-bourbon barrels, Matusalem Oloroso sherry butts, Madeira barrels, Marsala casks, port pipes and Cabernet Sauvignon wine casks.
The name honours the Scottish king Alexander III. According to the story, a member of the Mackenzie family saved the king's life and was allowed in thanks to carry the royal stag in the family crest. The stag's head has appeared on the distillery's bottlings ever since.
