Dalmore Luminary No. 3 is the 2025 edition of a series curated in partnership with V&A Dundee: a 17 year old Highland single malt, limited to 20,000 bottles worldwide. Gregg Glass and Richard Paterson developed it with architect Ben Dobbin of Foster + Partners. It is bottled at 49.2%, non-chill-filtered and without added colour. After maturing in ex-bourbon American white oak, seven components were combined. Six were finished in casks that held vintage Calvados, aged Calvados, Matusalem sherry, Apostoles sherry, Bordeaux red wine or Châteauneuf-du-Pape red wine; the seventh stayed wholly in ex-bourbon casks. Orchard fruit, Madagascan vanilla and cinnamon open the nose. The palate brings butterscotch, red apple, dark cocoa and liquorice, with cardamom and Seville orange. Dried apricot, ripe blackberry and brioche mark the finish.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
