Dalmore – Vintage 1995 Age of Exploration (70cl)

This is a 1995 vintage single malt from Dalmore, part of the Age of Exploration release, in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was matured in white oak barrels, then spent three years in Madeira casks. It finished with a final twelve months in Matusalem Oloroso sherry butts. The nose offers tobacco, cedar, bitter chocolate orange, malt and toffee apple, with a hint of tarte tatin and cocoa powder. On the palate come dried fruit peel, orange juice, sweet stem ginger, malt and spices. The finish is medium, with sweet spices and orange zest.
