David Nicholson Reserve

David Nicholson Reserve is an American bourbon, aged for longer than usual and made with a higher proportion of rye. The brand goes back to 1843, when David Nicholson, a grocer in St. Louis, began making and selling whisky in his shop. Luxco took it over in 2000, and it is now made at their Lux Row distillery. The nose offers vanilla, spice and honey. The palate is round with a kick, and hints of chocolate can be found. The finish is long and well balanced, with the rye lingering.
