Daviess County Kentucky Straight Bourbon Cabernet Sauvignon Cask Finish is a Kentucky bourbon bottled at 48% (96 proof) in a 75cl bottle. It combines two mash bills, one wheated and one high-rye, and is aged in new charred American oak before a finish in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels from Napa Valley.
The nose offers dark cherry, vanilla and caramel, with toasted oak, cocoa and blackcurrant. On the palate come caramel, toffee and honeyed corn with red berry compote and spice, and the wine casks add tannin and a touch of acidity. The finish is long and velvety, with plum, vanilla and oak spice.
