Deanston – 12 Years (70cl, 46.3%)

This is a 12-year-old single malt from Deanston, bottled at 46.3% in a 70cl bottle. The distillery is housed in a former cotton mill that drew on the water of the River Teith. It was set up in the mid-1960s, when the whisky trade was thriving, and the old weaving shed became its warehouse. Deanston closed in 1980, when it belonged to Invergordon, and Burn Stewart took it over in the early 1990s.
