Deanston – 18 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (70cl, 46.3%)

Deanston 18 Year Old is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 46.3% in a 70cl bottle. It first appeared in 2015. The whisky is matured in ex-bourbon hogsheads and finished in first fill ex-bourbon casks. Deanston stands on the River Teith, not far from Stirling, is organic certified and generates its own energy from onsite hydro-power. The nose offers honey biscuits, ripe honeydew melon and a faint earthy, damp flint note. On the palate are warm citrus, ginger and honey tea with an oily texture, and the finish shows more malt.
