Deux Familles Single Cask is a Grande Champagne Cognac drawn from one cask and bottled in September 2024. Rather than being blended from many barrels to a house style, it shows the character of a single barrel and its maturation in oak. Grande Champagne is the cru of the Cognac region noted for its chalk-rich soils, and the Single Cru designation confirms the spirit comes from there. Flavours associated with this kind of ageing include dried apricot, candied citrus peel, vanilla, toasted almonds, caramel and delicate baking spices. The nose opens with dried orchard fruit and orange blossom.
