This is the first 10 year old single malt from Dingle Distillery, bottled at 46.5% ABV. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colouring.
The whisky was matured in a mix of casks: 65% bourbon, 30% port and 5% Pedro Ximénez. The distillery points to the Dingle peninsula's salty Atlantic air and changeable weather as an influence on how it matured.
The nose is rich with dark fruit and plums, with a hint of vanilla. On the palate it is complex and balanced, with Black Forest gateau, chocolate, vanilla and fine spices. The finish is long, soft and buttery, with a touch of warm spice.
