Distilleria Romano Levi Barbaresco Grappa (42%)

A reserve grappa distilled from the pomace of Nebbiolo grapes grown for DOCG Barbaresco, in the Langhe hills. The marc comes from vineyards in Neive, Barbaresco, Trezzo, Treiso and Alba, processed locally and blended to an old Serafino Levi recipe. It is cured underground and aged for a minimum of three years in Piedmontese casks of acacia wood, each holding around 700 litres. The colour is light amber and the strength is 42% abv. The nose offers herbs and light wood, with vanilla emerging at the end. The palate is dry and well balanced, and the finish is long, with liquorice and light vanilla.
