Distilleria Romano Levi Barolo Grappa (42%)

This is a grappa from Distilleria Romano Levi, made only from Nebbiolo. The pomace comes from DOCG vineyards in Barolo, Serralunga, La Morra and Grinzane Cavour, processed locally and blended. Grappa di Barolo is the only grappa protected by a specific origin and production rules recognised at EU level. It is aged for at least four years in casks of around 220 litres made of acacia wood, and bottled at 42%. The colour is medium amber. The nose opens with intense tobacco, then chocolate. The palate is dry and well balanced, with lasting liquorice, and the finish brings intense wood and spice.
