Doc Holliday 13 Year is a single barrel Kentucky straight bourbon finished in Oloroso sherry casks, bottled at barrel strength of 54% in a 750ml bottle. It was released by the World Whiskey Society as part of its Doc Holliday series.
The bourbon spent 13 years in new charred American oak before its finish in Oloroso sherry casks.
The nose opens with red berries, brownie batter, aged leather and dark dried fruit. The palate brings dried cherries, dark chocolate, fig and baking spice, then charred oak and peppercorn. The finish is long and dry, with berries and cream, rye spice and oak tannins.
