This is a red Côtes du Rhône from Domaine de la Solitude, made from organic grapes picked in high-lying parcels of clay, limestone and stony subsoil. Yields are very low.
The blend is 40% Grenache Noir, 35% Syrah, 15% Carignan and 10% Mourvèdre, and the wine has a dense, intense colour.
The nose offers dark fruit, spice and the garrigue scent of the surrounding landscape. The palate is full and well structured, with a comfortable texture, and the round finish lingers.
