It is made in the Drumshanbo single pot still style and finished in Tawny Port casks, which add ripe fruit and berry sweetness to the spice and texture of pot still whiskey. The nose combines ripe red and orchard fruit with vanilla, caramel and gentle spice. The palate is rich and rounded, with dark berries, sweet vanilla, warming spice and caramel. The finish is long and warming, with lingering fruit sweetness and gently drying oak.
