Dry Fly Distilling – Port Finish Wheat Whiskey (75cl)

This is a wheat whiskey from Dry Fly Distilling in Spokane, Washington, finished in port wine barrels. It is made from a mash of 100% wheat. The whiskey spends three years in new American oak before moving into freshly emptied port barrels for a further 9 to 12 months. Don Poffenroth founded the distillery out of a love of fly-fishing and the Pacific Northwest, using grain from Washington farms. The port finish adds dried-fruit and wine sweetness over the soft, bready character of the wheat.
