A ten-year-old Glenrothes bottled by Duncan Taylor from a single cask, number 4941144. It was distilled in 2013 and bottled in 2023 at 55.4% ABV, without chill-filtering or added colour, and comes in a 70cl bottle.
The nose combines sugary cinnamon buns with juicy nectarines, candied orange and tobacco. The palate is balanced and fruity, with blackberries, cherries, quince jelly and apple, while blossom honey, toffee and cloves round it off. The finish is long, with red fruits, dates and a little oak.
