Duval-Leroy Brut Réserve is a non-vintage Champagne from a family-owned house founded in 1859 in Vertus, on the Côte des Blancs. It is assembled from around fifteen crus, with a generous share of reserve wines from earlier vintages.
The blend is 60% Pinot Noir, 30% Pinot Meunier and 10% Chardonnay, and it ages on the lees for 30 to 36 months before release.
Citrus, red apple and toasted brioche lead the nose, with cinnamon and honey behind. The palate is bright, with apple, ripe pear, biscuit and ground ginger carried by a fine mousse. The finish is medium-long, with brioche and fresh citrus acidity.
