E&J VS Brandy (175cl, 40%)

E&J VS is a brandy made from distilled wine and aged for at least two years in American oak barrels. It has been made since 1975, by a house that has produced brandy since 1938, and it comes in a 1.75 litre bottle at 40% vol. It can be sipped neat or mixed, and works in simple drinks with ginger ale, club soda or cola. The flavour shows apple, toasted oak and vanilla with a little spice, in a crisp, light-bodied style that lingers in the aftertaste.
