This release was bottled in 1978 in a quart bottle of roughly 946ml, a size that was standard for premium bourbon in the 1970s. The brand was created in 1975 at Old Prentice Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky, so this bottling comes from its earliest years. The spirit was distilled around 1968, before the Eagle Rare name existed, and was released as a 10-year-old under the new label.
