Edradour – 11 Year Old 2014/2025 St. Michael Eppan 1st Fill Lagrein Casks

This is an 11 year old Edradour single malt, distilled on 16 May 2014 and bottled in June 2025. Andrew Symington chose two first fill Lagrein casks from the South Tyrol winery St. Michael-Eppan, which had previously held the winery's Sanct Valentin wines. The whisky spent more than eleven years in these casks, which gave it a spicy, many-sided character. The nose combines malt with the sweetness of sherry and ripe berries. The palate is full-bodied, with oak structure and intense berry flavours. The finish is long, with elegant wood spice and a soft, light sweetness.
