This is a 12 year old Highland single malt from Edradour, matured entirely in Sauternes casks. It was distilled in April 2012 and bottled in June 2024 at 48.2%, without chill-filtration and with its natural colour.
The small batch was vatted from seven first fill hogsheads and yielded 2,332 bottles.
The nose is rich with honey, vanilla, peach and nectarine, with subtle spice. On the palate honeyed sweetness meets nectarine and tropical fruit, with vanilla and oak giving structure and a light spicy note. The finish is long, with sweet honey, gentle spice and lasting fruit.
