This Highland single malt marks Andrew Symington's 40 years in the whisky trade, from 1986 to 2026. Symington founded the independent bottler Signatory Vintage and bought Edradour in 2002. The whisky was distilled in 2020 at the original Edradour No.1, matured for six years in first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogsheads and bottled at 57.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose combines raisins, dates, dark cherries, dark syrup, chocolate and orange peel. The palate has fig syrup, fruitcake, dark chocolate and warm spices, and the finish is long and warm with dried fruit, cocoa and dark syrup.
