Egan's Centenary Limited Edition (70cl, 46%)

Egan's Centenary is an Irish blend of single malt and single grain whiskey, bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle without chill-filtration or added colour. It matured first in ex-bourbon casks and was then finished in XO Cognac casks made from French Limousin oak. The limited edition of 5,995 bottles marks the hundredth anniversary of the death of Henry Egan in 2019. He was a co-founder of the family firm and committed to Irish independence. The nose combines floral cereal notes with honey and dried apricot, followed by vanilla. On the palate come light wafer notes with almonds, ginger and citrus fruit. The soft finish moves from ginger to lemon peel and liquorice.
