EJ Curley & Co. Single Barrel is a Kentucky straight bourbon in a 75cl bottle, bottled at barrel proof, so each barrel carries its own strength. Master Blender Ashley Barnes hand-selects the barrels. The brand traces its roots to 1867.
The mashbill is not disclosed, but the spirit shows a noticeable rye character.
On the nose are peanut brittle, cinnamon, toasted granola, honeycomb and dried figs. The palate offers nut butter and dates, then dried stone fruit and rye spice with peppermint over dark chocolate. The finish is long and warming, with cinnamon, peppermint, dried cherry and oak.
