This is a limited-edition añejo tequila from El Tesoro, part of the Mundial Collection created by master distiller Carlos Camarena. The series pairs El Tesoro with distillers from around the world.
It is the house Añejo aged for 12 months in charred-oak barrels that previously held Knob Creek Rye Whiskey. The result is a sipping tequila with subtle sweetness and spice, wheat brown with golden tones in the glass.
The nose shows cooked agave, peach, bread, vanilla, caramel, pineapple, apple and cinnamon, with leather and delicate floral notes. The palate brings black pepper, dark chocolate, vanilla and orange peel with oak and spice. The finish is long, with oak, spice and mineral notes.
